#10 – Top Ten Reasons to Attend National DOG (Dutch Oven Gathering)

#10 – See how Iron Chefs from around the country set up their outdoor kitchen

Greg and Sarah's Outdoor Kitchen (Covered Chuck Wagon)

Notice Sarah and Greg’s Chuck Wagon in the background. It is a little covered wagon with all of their cooking supplies, tools, spices. We all want one just like theirs! (Oh, and it was COLD!)

Dutch Oven Gatherings (DOGs) are are great source of inspriration for Original Iron Chefs. I appreciate seeing the tools and the equipment used to make a safe and enjoyable outdoor kitchen. When we attend the 2011 National DOG, I will pay attention to
*Construction of light weight but big enough Chuck Box and how it holds pans, tools, spices, and other necessary ingredients for cooking outdoors
*Tools to manage the fire safely and keep the dutch ovens going
*How the outdoor kitchen is set up for efficiency but also encourages social interaction with visitors and other Iron Chefs
*Fun stuff that spurs conversation to share memories
